Financial Accountant (Agriculture/Manufacturing) - Lotus HR and Recruitment

Our client, a leader in the Agricultural/Export  sector, seeks to employ an assertive, professional, qualified and experienced Accountant, who has strong experience in financial accounting, specifically in the Export, FMCG or manufacturing sector,  with experience in foreign exchange transactions, for their fast paced group head office, based in the Winelands.

PLEASE NOTE:  candidates from the manufacturing/ agricultural or export sector will receive preference due to requiring experience in  costs, foreign exchange transactions and inventory control. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You must have completed a BComm or related degree, coupled with CIMA or SAIPA accreditation and 5-10 years experience performing a full financial function

• Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting, assisting with formulating the group’s annual budget and accurately forecasting, managing internal controls to mitigate risk
• In addition, you will have experience in systems management, costing and IFRS

• In addition, you will have experience in VAT returns, VAT recons and annual/provisional income tax returns

• You must be able to work under pressure, have an assertive and proactive working style and have a track record in meeting deadlines.

• You must have worked on an ERP system (such as SAP, QMuzik, Syspro) and have advanced Excel skills

• You will have a clear credit and criminal record
