Chief Financial Officer (CA(SA)) (Centurion Onsite) - Datafin IT Recruitment

ENVIRONMENT:

PROVIDE strategic financial leadership while mentoring and developing the Finance team as the next Chief Financial Officer sought by a Centurion-based Tech Company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance practices. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in strengthening the company’s financial position by providing timely insights, intelligence, and analysis to stakeholders, while fostering efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate must be a qualified CA with at least 10 years of progressive finance experience and have proficiency with Expert-level Excel & Sage200.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for the full finance function.
• Analysis of Financial Results.
• Monthly Billing.
• Various Control and Systems implementation and review.
• Tax compliance and all matters surrounding company taxes.
• SARS submissions – PAYE, VAT, Provisional tax, Income tax, Dividend tax.
• Overall management of budgeting and reforecasting process.
• Management Account preparation.
• Various operational reports.
• Implementation and review of internal controls and processes.
• Enhancement of systems.
• Communication with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders.
• Produce and present monthly financial reports for/to relevant stakeholders and executives.
• Oversee the preparation of annual financial reports and financial statements in accordance with IFRS within agreed timelines and in compliance with company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all territories.
• Engage with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process.
• Financial Modelling/Scenario Analysis where needed.
• BEE compliance.
• ICASA compliance.
• Commissions and payroll.
• Ad hoc normal business operations and challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications -

• CA(SA).

Experience/Skills -

• 10+ Years of progressive finance experience.
• Proficient with Sage200, for both management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Experience in the preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with IFRS.
• Up to date knowledge on new IFRS standards and interpretations.
• Up to date knowledge with South African Tax requirements i.e Income Tax, VAT, etc.
• Knowledge of strategic and financial planning, including costing, benchmarking, trends and KPIs.
• Experience in budget preparation, reporting and reforecasting.
• Computer literacy; fully conversant with the current uses of information technology.
• Expert level of Excel skills.

Advantageous –
