Risk and Compliance Specialist Sandton
Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Risk and Compliance Specialist to join their team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company remains compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards while supporting the effective management of risk across the organisation.
Salary: R30 000.00 - R60 000.00 Depends on experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Risk Management, Compliance, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a risk and compliance role, preferably within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Experience in risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure company practices remain aligned with current legislation and industry requirements.
- Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal audits.
- Identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective action.
- Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for management.
- Assist with regulatory submissions, internal investigations, and audit preparation.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and compliance obligations.
