My client, a leading manufacturer of complete liquid packaging systems in South Africa, is looking for a hands-on Millwright as a Service Technician based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The successful candidate will install & commission new equipment and maintain the equipment that are on-site at client’s premises.

This role requires regular travel for support on and auditing of equipment at client sites,

The role is to ensure that after-sales technical support and backup is available to all clients.

Key responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairs.
• Installation and commissioning of equipment at client premises.
• Maintenance and customer support including services, breakdowns, rebuilds etc.
• Administer, coordinate and manage customer support jobs.
• Auditing of equipment on site & reporting findings.
• Provide technical support to various departments as required.
• Customer training and assessment of machines.
• Quality control and assurance.
• Ensure that Safety Standards are maintained.

Minimum requirements

• National certificate in Millwright works and a Journeyman Class Artisan Card.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in custom-built machinery and production machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience in the Liquid Packaging Industry.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic fault finding required.
• Must be able to travel Nationally and Internationally.
• Code B driver’s license.
• Customer service oriented with a positive attitude, self-motivated and reliable to work independently.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet.
