Payroll Operations Manager - Hybrid - Stellenbosch - Datafin IT Recruitment

ENVIRONMENT:

A medical Institution is looking for a Payroll Operations Manager to manage relevant remuneration and payroll systems and processes for the group.

DUTIES:

• Manage the payroll system processes for MCSA
• Manage relevant remuneration processes for MCSA
• Accept ownership and manage the Success Factors System
• Coordinate relevant tax administration processes
• Manage and control department budgets / finances
• Initiate and manage relevant departmental projects
• Lead and manage the people in the Payroll Operations Team

REQUIREMENTS:

Required Education:

Essential Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Financial / Commerce)

Desired Education

• Post-graduate degree in financial field

Required Experience:

Essential Minimum Experience 

• 7 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role; at least 5 years managerial experience

Desired Experience

• Experience in a payroll environment, within a large compliment of staff

Required Job Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding of the full monthly payroll process
• Understanding of HR Finance and relevant HR systems
• Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory payroll legislation
• Computer literacy: Excel
• Understanding of  Payroll Operations Manager ration and employee benefits administration
• Payroll systems administration and SuccessFactors system knowledge
• Payroll governance, audit and risk management principles
• Financial reconciliation and payroll control principles
• Project management and continuous improvement capability
• Leadership and people management capability
• Stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
• Knowledge of POPIA and payroll data confidentiality requirements
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
