Our client, a small but well established and expanding Financial Services company, seeks to employ a Payroll and Management Accountant to join this progressive and expanding professional team.
Please note that this role is based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and our ideal candidate will be resident in the surrounding area of business.

- You will have completed a BCom Accounting / Financial Management qualification or equivalent, with a Diploma in Bookkeeping, Payroll or Accounting also considered.
- You will have expertise in monthly payroll processing, including multiple payrolls, payroll reconciliations and accurate maintenance of employee payroll records.
- You must have a proven track record in management accounting, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow forecasting and cost analysis.
- Your advanced skills in South African payroll legislation and tax requirements, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA and other statutory requirements, together with experience in payroll systems such as Sage, VIP, PaySpace or Pastel.
- You must be able to work closely with management, external auditors and SARS where required, while preparing accurate management reports and supporting financial reporting and audit processes.
- The ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment, with strong attention to detail, analytical and numerical skills, deadline management and problem-solving abilities.
- You must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity, accuracy and professionalism, together with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.
