Our retail / distribution products client in Montague Gardens Milnerton Cape town seeks the expertise of a bookkeeper. Full Bookkeeping function including small payroll 40 on Pastel Payroll Pastel. You need a qualification and 5 years’ experience.
Salary: Market related
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with relevant Diploma/Degree in Bookkeeping/Accounting
- 5+ years’ experience as a Bookkeeper within a Manufacturing Retail Packaging Distribution Imports and exports Products Industry
- Dealing with imports and exports agencies an added bonus
- Experience with Sage Accounting and Pastel Payroll essential
- Excellent in Excel
- Must have SARS loading and Submission abilities and experience
- Payroll of permanents and wages essential
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping up to Trial balance / Balance Sheet on SAGE
- Manage 2 clerks in the finance department – report to Finance Manager
- Full Debits & Creditors Functions
- Full Payroll (30-40 staff) Pastel / Sage Payroll
- Full Recons of all accounts
- Manage and monitor experiences like fuel and others
- \VAT calculations, recons and SARS submission of VAT
- SARS submission of EMP201/EMP501/IRP5/VAT201
- Dealing with outsourced accounting firm to assist with SARS
- Assist with Audits and financial reporting
