Payroll Analyst - CA Financial Appointments

Job Description

Our client, a large diversified investment holding company operating through a shared services model, is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their People team in Stellenbosch. With multiple entities and complex reward structures under one roof, this is payroll with real analytical teeth.

You'll take ownership of end-to-end processing for selected monthly payrolls of 400+ -employee and multiple entities, working closely with the Payroll & Benefits Officer as each other's backup and quality check. Beyond processing, you'll dig into payroll and reward data, build reports and dashboards, and turn numbers into insights that actually influence decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process assigned payrolls on Sage 300 People with full accuracy and deadline compliance
• Conduct advanced reconciliations and resolve discrepancies at the root cause
• Build and interpret payroll/reward reporting and management dashboards
• Support increase, bonus, benchmarking and share vesting cycles with solid data prep
• Assist with UAT for system and platform changes
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL and COID requirements

What We're Looking For

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• 5+ years' relevant payroll experience, ideally multi-entity or shared services
• Solid grasp of SA payroll legislation and benefit fund administration
• Sharp analytical skills paired with intermediate-plus Excel ability
