About the Position

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Administration Clerk  to join their team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Sales Department, ensuring accurate order processing, efficient customer service, and the smooth coordination of sales-related activities.

Position Specifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, an accounting background, or relevant sales experience will be advantageous.
  • Ability to perform general administrative and office support functions for the Sales Department.
  • Fully computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • A sound understanding of customer service principles and practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform sales administration duties, including capturing sales orders, reconciling sales orders and dispatches, maintaining sales-related filing, and liaising with customers.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service by following up on orders, deliveries, and customer queries.
  • Assist with the resolution of credit note, invoice, and delivery-related queries.
  • Compile and maintain accurate sales and administrative reports and documentation as required.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the product range, sales ordering processes, customer database, and related systems.
  • Interact with customers in a professional, trustworthy, and honest manner, while maintaining a high level of integrity.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide production administration support as and when required.
