Our client is look for a qualified Red Seal Electrician with at least 3 years of field service or industrial maintenance experience. Experience on balers, shredders, conveyors, hydraulic systems, recycling equipment or material handling equipment will be highly advantageous. The successful candidate must have strong fault-finding skills, a valid driver’s licence, be willing to travel to customer sites, and preferably reside in the Cape Winelands.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical fault-finding and repairs on balers, shredders and recycling equipment.
• Preventative maintenance and servicing of customer equipment.
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Inspection, repair and maintenance of conveyors and associated plant equipment.
• Breakdown call-outs and emergency repairs.
• Completion of service reports and customer documentation.
• Adherence to company safety standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a valid Red Seal Trade Certificate.
• Valid South African drivers’ licence (essential).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance, plant equipment, manufacturing machinery or similar environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and on customer sites.
• Willingness to travel within the Western Cape and occasionally beyond when required.

Beneficial Experience

The following will be advantageous but are not essential:

• Valid Wireman’s Licence (advantageous).
• Experience on horizontal balers, vertical balers or shredders.
• Experience on recycling plant equipment and transfer stations.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and electro-hydraulic systems.
• PLC fault-finding and control systems.
• Experience with conveyors and material handling systems.
• Previous field service experience.
