Site based Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs from pre-construction through to completion
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost reports
- Measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
- Valuations, payment certificates and progress claims
- Subcontractor management and commercial administration
- Variations, claims and final accounts
- Cost forecasting and financial reporting
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Consultants
- Ensure effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle
- BSc/BTech/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Professional registration with SACQSP advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Proven experience on residential and commercial building projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
- Excellent measurement and cost-control skills
- Experience with CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart advantageous
- Strong computer and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Valid driver’s licence
