My client, a market leader in Environmental Hygiene is looking for an Environmental Hygiene Operations, Technical Services and Client Growth Co-ordinator to join their team in Brackenfell.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is practical and comfortable working on hospital, laboratory, food-production and commercial sites
- Can supervise environmental cleaning teams while also participating when necessary
- Communicates professionally with infection-control staff, facility managers and clients
- Can identify additional work without behaving like an aggressive salesperson
- Completes checklists, service reports, photographs and client records accurately
- Is willing to learn DR OXY, OXY120, ATP testing, UV cross-contamination tools, particle counting and validation procedures
- Has the discipline to follow SOPs exactly
- Can manage appointments and follow-ups without continuous reminders
- Has a valid driving licence and reliable transport
- Is available for occasional after-hours or weekend decontamination work
Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Coordinate allocated environmental hygiene projects
- Prepare equipment and materials before each job
- Complete client checklists and service reports and follow up with existing clients
- Identify service, consumable and maintenance opportunities
- Assist with demonstrations and quotations
- Deliver technical work under the required level of supervision
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Grade 12
- Valid South African driving licence
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and smartphone applications
- Able to write clear service reports
- Good spoken and written English
- Physically able to perform field and cleaning TEAM
- No restriction on working in hospitals, laboratories or food-production facilities
Advantageous
- Environmental health, infection prevention, occupational health and safety, hygiene or facilities-management qualification
- Experience with ATP testing, cleanrooms, biosafety cabinets, HEPA filtration or particle counting
- Sales or account-management experience
- Training or facilitator experience
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14644, food-safety systems or hospital infection prevention
Salary and type of contract
Fixed monthly salary
Own vehicle and driver’s license
Approved travel re-imbursement
3 months fixed term contract – Permanent employment is not automatic. Any further appointment will depend on business requirements, performance, conduct and successful completion of competency assessments.
