Group Financial Manager - CA Financial Appointments

Job Description

My client based in Johannesburg East is looking for a Group Finance Manager to help lead its finance function. This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with the confidence to influence decisions and lead a team.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of financial reporting, planning, controls, compliance and operational finance across multiple entities.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading monthly management reporting, annual financial statements and executive financial reporting
• Driving budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario modelling and variance analysis
• Managing annual external audits and maintaining strong financial controls and governance
• Overseeing cash flow, liquidity, working capital and banking relationships
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, tax and relevant statutory requirements
• Leading and developing the finance team while improving processes, systems and financial performance

What we’re looking for

• An immediately available CA(SA)
• 8–10 years’ progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in senior finance management
• Experience managing multi-site or national finance operations
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax, audit, financial governance and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
• A commercially minded leader with strong communication, analytical and influencing skills
