Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tracking Technician to join our team. Based near OR Tambo Airport, you will be responsible for high-level telematics installations, advanced troubleshooting, and mobile fitments. This role requires a technical expert who can work independently and represent our brand professionally when traveling to clients in outlying areas.

Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: relevant qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of active experience within the vehicle tracking and telematics industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive electrical systems, including how relays work and identifying power/ignition sources across a majority of vehicle makes and models.
- Specialized Skills: Proven experience with CANBUS integration and automotive camera/dashcam fitments.
- Driver’s License: Valid South African driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of active driving experience.
- Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to outlying areas.
- Location: Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the OR Tambo Airport area.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Installations: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot top-tier vehicle tracking, fleet management, and telematics systems.
- Camera Fitments: Handle mobile digital video recording (MDVR) and advanced camera system installations across various fleet types.
- System Integration: Correctly identify and integrate with CANBUS wiring systems, relays, and central locking.
- Field Service: Travel to outlying areas around Gauteng and neighboring regions to conduct onsite client installations and support.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all wiring is secure, hidden, and meets strict industry safety standards to prevent vehicle damage or warranty voids.
