Our commercial / manufacturing client in Maitland is looking for an Accountant with completed SAIPA / SAICA articles and 2 years post experience.

Matric with Bcom Finance / Accounting Degree
Completed SAIPA or SAICA Articles
2 years post articles experience as an accountant
Job description
Accounting for the Retail stores division
Oversee all financial aspects of the retail stores nationally
Account for all financial aspects of the licencing company.
Oversee 1 clerk to capture the cash book, check systems sales to bank deposits, capture creditors and manage debtors.
Assist and oversee the Payroll Clerk and other staff
Pass journals, VAT recon, GL/payroll system recon, reconcile TB
Assist in Prepare management accounts, analyse and present to the directors.
Assist with the preparation of annual budget.
Oversee and assist COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, EMP501’s/IRP5’s, CIPC submissions.
Be the key contact with auditors and SARS.
Maintain fixed asset register and journals
Ensure policies, procedures, and systems are operating effectively in stores and at the head office
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and accounting standards
