ENVIRONMENT:

Our client is in search of a fervent and forward-thinking Head of Product Design to lead the creation of an immersive and revolutionary music player and community platform specifically crafted for the electronic music community. As the Head of Product Design, you will be instrumental in defining the product’s vision, user experience, and overarching influence, guaranteeing its prominence as the pulse of the dance music realm.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish product design principles:  Define the core values, goals, and principles of their product design, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and the aspirations of their music community.
  • Lead the design team: Oversee the design process from ideation to implementation, mentoring and guiding a team of talented designers in crafting exceptional user interfaces and experiences that resonate deeply with their fans and music lovers.
  • Conduct user research and analysis: Immerse yourself in our community to understand their needs, preferences, and emotional connection to music, translating insights into actionable design decisions.
  • Develop high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups:  Create visually captivating and functionally intuitive designs that embody the product’s vision and seamlessly integrate with the platform’s unique features.
  • Lead design sprints and workshops:  Facilitate collaborative design sessions to generate creative solutions, challenge assumptions, and ensure alignment with the product vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams:  Partner closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design across the product development lifecycle.
  • Measure and analyse product performance: Track user engagement, user feedback, usability metrics, and analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the product experience.

  • Develop a user-centric design that is intuitive, seamless, and emotionally resonant with their users.
  • Lead a high-performing design team that consistently delivers innovative and impactful designs.

  • Drive the product’s success through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years of experience in product design with a proven track record of success
  • Deep expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user needs into visually stunning and functionally intuitive designs
  • ESSENTIAL: Passion for electronic dance music (EDM) and a deep understanding of the EDM culture and trends
