Reconciliation Accountant / Bank Administrator

A fast-paced and rapidly growing logistics business  in the beautiful city of Cape Town is seeking a highly efficient and detail-oriented Reconciliation Accountant / Bank Administrator / Cashbook Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all local and foreign currency banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile domestic and international banking transactions
• Manage foreign exchange operations and hedging activities
• Create and maintain financial reports using advanced Excel functions
• Handle ERP system entries for banking operations
• Perform daily cash book management and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end financial reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with banking and accounting procedures

Requirements:

• BComm degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in bank reconciliation / cashbook accounting in a logistics environment is non-negotiable
• Highly efficient reconciliation skills
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Effective communication and organizational skills
