This critical role is centred on ensuring strong financial governance, aligning company and group strategies, and managing risk effectively. With oversight of budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial analysis, you will play a pivotal part in driving growth and profitability while leading a dynamic finance team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend financial strategies to optimize revenue and cost structures
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budget timetable and delivery to both the company and the group
  • Develop budget and forecasting methodology to manage costs within a rapidly scaling business
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts
  • Oversee risk assessments and implement processes to mitigate financial risks

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of finance team members
  • Manage company cash flow effectively to support operational needs and growth objectives
  • Supervise the audit process, working closely with the Senior Financial Manager
  • Analyze and review financial reports, including trend and cost analyses
  • Maintain oversight of credit risk management processes, collaborating with the Head of Credit
  • Monitor and analyze credit risk metrics to ensure financial stability
  • Oversee income tax, PAYE, VAT reviews, and all other SARS obligations and submissions
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Evaluate the financial impact of new products and projects, including capital expenditure
  • Support cross-functional initiatives such as collections forecasts and system integrations

Requirements:

  • CA (SA) or equivalent financial qualification
  • 8+ years of experience in senior finance roles, preferably in fintech or technology
  • Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing team
  • Proficiency in treasury, compliance, and risk management
