Accountant

My client based in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs is seeking a highly skilled and qualified accountant to manage critical financial operations and support strategic decision-making within the organization. You will be a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused, and passionate about delivering excellence in financial management. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Manage month-end and year-end financial processes
• Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive financial performance
• Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements, including VAT and income tax returns
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize financial systems and processes

Requirements:

• A qualified Professional Accountant (SA), CIMA, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Office and MS Excel skills
