- Oversee daily foundry operations, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output.
- Manage melting processes, mold making, casting, and finishing activities.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the production team, driving performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Handle maintenance planning and troubleshooting of foundry equipment.
- Develop and implement cost control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Tertiary education in Production, Engineering, or Quality (minimum NQF6 level).
- A Qualified Artisan certification is advantageous, but the candidate must meet the NQF6 education requirement.
- At least 10 years of experience in Foundry/Melting operations.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of foundry processes, quality control, and safety standards.
