A small but dynamic firm of attorneys based in Randburg, who are dedicated to providing personalized legal services with professionalism, integrity, and precision, are looking for a PA / Secretary. The company specialises in niche areas of law, and prides itself on fostering close client relationships and delivering results-driven legal solutions tailored to individual needs.  

As part of the team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the firm by ensuring efficiency and precision in all administrative and secretarial tasks. Working closely with the attorney and accounts department, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of our practice and uphold the high standards of service excellence our clients have come to expect.  

Minimum Requirements:  
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with excellent language and grammar  
Honesty, reliability, and punctuality  
High standards of confidentiality  
Excellent administrative and organizational skills  
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel  
Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on instructions from the attorney  
Experience using Sage Accounting Software  
Experience transcribing from ProTranscribe  
Minimum qualification: National Senior Certificate  
Familiarity with CourtOnline and CaseLines (advantageous)  
Initiative and ability to independently prioritize tasks as instructed  
Valid driver’s license and own transport  

Duties and Responsibilities:  
Transcribing and typing correspondence and legal documents from the attorney’s dictation with high accuracy  
Liaising with clients, counsel, opposing parties, and other stakeholders  
Opening and maintaining client files  
Diary management, including diarisation of files  
Answering and screening the attorney’s calls and taking messages  
Collating and compiling bundles of documents as per the attorney’s instructions  
Managing debtors in coordination with the accounts department  
Delivering documents to clients as instructed by the attorney
