My client, a leader in providing cutting-edge printing solutions across the African continent, is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Managing Director to lead the company’s operations and continue driving business growth. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the overall strategic direction, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and lead a team committed to excellence. This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership position, working closely with the Group CEO, while managing both local and international markets. Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and direct agreed strategy towards profitable growth and operation of the company
  • Link strategic operating plans with the long-term objectives and priorities
  • Establish, coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations
  • Formulate and implement business policies to support implementation
  • Coordinate reviews and endorse budget proposals
  • Responsible for business development and growth in line with shareholder expectations
  • Promote product portfolio through effective marketing, sales and service functions
  • Hold regular meetings with management to discuss the budgetary position
  • Manage performance of managers
  • Manage agency agreements as well as maintain ongoing dialogue with principals
  • Oversee monthly reporting to the board
  • Monitor all long-term financial matters

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification
  • At least 10 years of experience in the printing or industrial equipment industry
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution to improve competitive advantage and profitability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
