Our client a Logistics Solutions company specializing in Frozen and Chilled products is looking for the expertise of an HR Officer to support their Human Resources department. Uphold HR procedures, policies and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

 Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to:)

  • Preparation of necessary documents for HR Manager.
  • Administration of recruitment, remuneration, learning/development and training.
  • Administration of personnel leave, maternity leave, disciplinary enquiries, IR investigations within the company
  • Experience in CCMA cases
  • Payroll administration.
  • Deal with both external and internal queries from both staff of the company and external bodies.
  • Prepare job descriptions before job advert placement is made both for internal and external recruitment
  • Administration and Coordinating of Employment Equity matters
  • Compensations and benefits administration
  • The administrator’s duties also include assisting in the preparation of all letters of contract for any necessary changes in employee terms and condition.
  • Preparing management reports HR relevant data.
  • Administration of clocking systems
  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides, etc.
  • Revise company policies
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Participate and Administration of HR projects
  • Coordinate the interviewing, screening, recruitment, appointment of new staff, setting up Interview panels.
  • Coordinate the duties of temporary staff.
  • Take minutes in staff meetings

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Hands on individual
  • People’s person who can interact with all employees on the floor to prevent conflict
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong maths knowledge
  • Good time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proven track record in relevant role
  • Experience with HR software will be advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Ability to work and beat deadlines
  • Good multi-tasking abilities

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or relevant field
  • 3 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Any relevant certification(s) in HRM courses would be a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

Area:  City Deep Johannesburg

Salary:  R 20 000 – R 25 000
