Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain measuring systems to ensure quality and pro-active service to customers.
- Analyze and implement corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and ensure quality standards.
- Maintain measuring equipment and calibrate instruments to adhere to international and company standards.
- Train and supervise junior technicians and new employees to develop a strong team of metrology technicians.
- Prepare and supply measurement data for management decisions and quality evaluation.
- Conduct dimensional calibration of company fixtures and instruments and maintain their history.
- Qualifications: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Trade Test Certificate Tool Maker.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in the automotive industry, with 2 years of experience in parts alignment, setup, and dimensional evaluation.
- Essentials:
- Good knowledge of Metrology Symbols and Elements.
- Practical experience with Dimensional Measuring Equipment.
- 3D interpretation of CAD models and technical drawings.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD software.
