Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team in Durban.

Job Responsibilities:

Promote the maintenance of current business contracts and the establishment of new core business with packaging customers
Ensure that company profitability requirements are met
Monitor and report changes in the market with respect to customers
Ensure the smooth operation of the Marketing and Sales Liaison departments whilst maintaining a high standard of quality, efficiency and harmony to meet the customer requirements
Identify and pursue new business within rigid packaging sector
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients
Provide technical support to customers resolving technical issues and collaboration with engineering and production to meet customer requirements.
Customer surveys issue to customers, collate feedback into report, make corrective action report and tracking implementation of actions to yield improved performance to customers
Forecasting, budgeting and provisions
Customer contracts (supply, warranty, license agreements)
Manage from initial inquiry through to delivery and internal team coordination
Customer visits, competitor analysis, market research

Job Requirements:

Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration or a related field.
5 years related experience in the rigid plastic packaging industry in South Africa.
Proven experience in sales preferably within the packaging industry
Strong understanding of rigid packaging technologies and materials.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events – minimum 50% travel.
