New Vacancy!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Robotics Technician to join their dynamic team in Durban.
 
Job Description: 
  • To maintain a high standard in the introduction of new robots to production.
  • Provide Robotic support to manufacturing.
  • Develop new grippers and automation for plastic products, utilising new/current technology to enable local/ international competition in line with business plan.
  • Ensure high quality and standards of Grippers, Process and Control thereof.
  • Facilitate jigs and fixtures design and fabrication specific to robotic processes.
  • Optimise injection moulding robotic settings.
  • Develop work instructions and Robotic Control Sheets.
  • Conduct tool try with robotics.
  • Conduct robot training and handover for shop floor personnel.
  • Closing and tracking of Robotic related Corrective Actions and G8D's.
  • Ensure adherence to project and timing plans in the line with the Projects development timing programs
  • Meet Performance in accordance with project and quality timing plans. 
  • Ensure that robotics comply with process and industrial engineering requirements.
  • Ensure that the safety requirements for the robotics and systems are complied with.
  • To manage project implementation and industrialization of new products and technologies.
  • To ensure the safety of all people interacting with the automated production facilities and processes.
  • The effective implementation of Automation for new products from Sourcing, Costing and Product 
  • implementation.
  • Liaise with departments to obtain time-outs technical information to implement changes/projects within the timeline. 
  • Assess current Robotic components and processes in view of design improvements, process optimisation and cost reduction.
  • To ensure that all ancillary equipment associated with the robot is maintained and operates reliably and within the required cycle time and process parameters 
  • Ensure that Quality, Safety, Health and Environment requirements are met at all stages of robot planning and installation.
  • Ongoing process optimisation and improvements. 
  • Continuous improvement in all aspects of the Robotics, Process and Industrial Engineering activities or where support is needed
Job Requirements: 
  • Technical N5/N6 qualification or instrument technician.
  • Advantageous: mechatronics qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in Robotics Programming or similar
