- Develop measurement programs for wheels (new and existing).
- Provide feedback on dimensional deviations or defects to relevant departments.
- Prepare APQP/PPAP/ISIR documentation as per customer requirements.
- Participate in problem-solving activities, FMEA/Control Plan meetings (APQP-related).
- Perform routine testing, product audits, and lead gauge design and approval processes.
- Maintain calibration status of instruments, manage external calibrations, and document verification processes.
- Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and R&R studies.
- Lead investigations into non-conforming wheels and conduct capability studies.
- Maintain and organize documentation, including drawings, measurement reports, and registers.
- Tertiary qualification (e.g., ND Mech Eng or BTech Quality).
- Matric with Math's and Science.
- Certifications in CMM Measuring/3D Scanning and quality systems (e.g., VDA6.3, IATF16949, Core Tools).
- At least 5 years in a factory environment.
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS CMM Software and thorough knowledge of plant processes.
- Familiarity with SPC, MSA, APQP, and 8D methodologies.
- Expertise in CMM measuring equipment, sampling processes, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Strong under-pressure performance, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Integrity, honesty, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, MiniTab, 3D Scanning).
- Valid driver's license (own transport preferred).
