Job overview

My client in the Wholesale Bakery Industry, is looking for a National Sales Manager. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for securing new business and managing existing clients. The National Sales Manager will be developing business growth strategies to maximize sales and growing the business.   The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager regarding debtor accounts, new business, potential clients, Key Accounts and Sales Reports.

 

 Strategy and Planning

  • Identifying and contacting potential business partners, vendors, and suppliers
  • Meeting planned sales goals and targets
  • Establishing new and existing long-term business relationships
  • Reviewing sales figures and performances in the sales.
  • Analysing and developing strategies to maximize sales in the company.
  • Attending trade shows, meetings, and networking events
  • Supervising and reviewing employee’s performance
  • Reviewing sales KPIs and preparing sales report.
  • Maintaining a record of all accounts payable and receivable

 Reporting

  • Monitor, review and report on all sales activity and results as per agreed timeframes and targets.
  • Report on the effectivity of the sales plans and projects.

 Teamwork

  • Support department managers and co employees.
  • Actively participate as a member of the team

 Educational Background:

  • Grade 12
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Afrikaans & English
  • Relevant Degree or minimum 5 years extensive sales management experience in a relevant field and environment (Retail or Food Industry)
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Experience managing and directing a sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to providing great customer service
