Financial Manager

My client, based in Hout Bay, Cape Town is looking for a Financial Manager with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general financial management. The ideal person will have experience or knowledge of logistics and Forex. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Record all financial transactions (e.g. sales, expenses and payments)
• Manage accounts payable and receivables
• Bank Reconciliations
• Forex payments and receipts
• Monitor and track company expenses
• Payroll processing in Sage and full HR function for a small team of under 10
• Statutory Submissions: VAT (SA & UK), EMP201, EMP501, Tax returns
• Monitor project plan completion and reconciliation to align with finance system (Xero) and project system (Esti-PC)
• Logistics: International requirements for export/import to Zambia, UK and Dubai with outsourced logistics companies, other companies as the business grows globally
• Leave: Maintain and monitor the annual leave schedule for the company

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: university graduate with 5 years of practical experience
• Experience within the Interior Design or related industry would be an asset
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools: (Sage, Xero, or similar applications)
• Knowledge of payroll processing and familiarity with relevant employment laws and regulations
