Job overview
My client in the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to be responsible for the JHB/Pretoria region. The successful candidate will report to the National Sales Manager in Johannesburg.
Main accountabilities (not limited to)
SALES REVENUE
- Achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Adherence to price list and seeking management approval for special pricing
SALES GROWTH
- Track and report sales metrics, forecasts, and market trends to management.
- Establishing an environment and foundation for future sales growth
CUSTOMERS
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned areas
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to ensure continuity of business and loyalty
RESEARCH AND REPORTS
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity and customer needs
- Ensure that monthly reports are concluded and submitted timeously
- Complete all call details on the CRM system after each customer visit
- Compile and conclude test reports and submit to the customer within the required
timeframe including but not limited to quotations
Know-How, Technical Skills and Experience
- Matric /Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) is essential
- Driver’s license (Code 08) is essential
- Diploma/Degree in Sales and/or Marketing or any other related qualification is advantageous
- 2 – 3 years as a sales representative in an abrasive industry is advantageous
- Proficient in MS Suite with ability to navigate on any ERP system

Salary
Basic plus commission
Own car but a car allowance will be part of the CTC salary
