We are seeking a Site Supervisor with mechanical and electrical experience for our client in the Automotive/Engineering Industry, based in Amanzimtoti KZN.
 
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor with expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, specifically within the automotive and engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project timelines, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all site activities to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to facilitate seamless communication and project execution.
  • Monitor the installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to site activities, including progress reports and safety inspections.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and equipment for site operations.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff and subcontractors in mechanical and electrical procedures.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates and address any concerns regarding project status and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and quality assurance standards within the automotive and engineering sectors.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the automotive or engineering industry with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is advantageous.
