Experienced Risk Analyst needed, to join a stimulating and fast paced team. Are you able to successfully identify, evaluate and reduce risks. This role requires excellent risk management, attention to detail, understanding of regulations and industry standards (oil and gas) as well as good communication and interpretation skills. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Run thorough risk assessments across several areas of the organization
  • Improve and drive risk management strategies and measures to minimize overall risks, review data, identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Identify potential risks and action implemented risk management strategies 
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to identify risks and assess potential impact on operations
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and developments to identify emerging risks and adapt strategies where necessary
  • Manage and review development corporate risk profile and the implement Risk Management based on risk profile, conduct gap analysis and review plans with stakeholders 
  • Liaise with relevant business units and risk owners, support risk-reward consideration in decision making in line with Group risk needs, liaise with teams implementing risk management strategies and controls
  • Put together reports and convey findings to management
  • Assist with incident investigations and analyses, identify systemic issues and implement corrective measures 
  • Create risk awareness and compliance through training and promote best practices, Increase risk awareness

Requirements: 

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Auditing/ Economics/BCom, CA(SA) preferred
  • Experience: 2 years Audit, Risk or Compliance experience within oil and gas industry
  • Previous experience in risk management, preferably within oil and gas or related sectors
  • Previous experience in ascertaining potential consequences of performing a business action
  • Strong analytical skills, able to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns
