Accountant

Fantastic opportunity to work on a Wine Farm in Paarl! This role calls for an Accountant who enjoys a role that is operational. If you are a problem solver, take pride in your work,  a good team player with experience within hospitality/wine industry, this role is for you.

 

Responsibilities:

• Run daily operations including admin, finance and hospitality 
• Liaise with Head of Finance and team to ensure best accounting practices 
• Run full payroll function
• Handle financial tasks, prepare trial balance/recon for financial reporting
• Prepare accurate monthly reports, monthly recons and transaction tracking
• Assist with preparing budget forecasts 
• Assist Head of Finance with preparing financial statements
• Maintain Asset Register 
• Manage all relevant admin tasks 

Requirements: 

• Minimum of a completed Diploma or Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of  7 years relevant accounting experience in wine and/ or hospitality industry
• Excellent computer skills MS Office, Xero, Vinsight, Lightspeed, Market Man,  Payspace, Sharepoint
• Accurate and transparent, attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of SARS regulations and statutory submissions
