Ideal Candidate:
- Qualifications:
- Trade test qualification
- Matric/N4
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Computer literate
- Use and read various measuring equipment
- Fault finding in hydraulics and pneumatics
- Interpret technical drawings
- Perform general turning, milling, surface grinding, and machining
- Adjust machine settings as needed
- Identify and report quality issues
- Participate in monthly stock takes and manage spare parts
- Manufacture spare parts and implement changes to parts
- Update and control engineering drawings
- Assist with tooling and new equipment trials
- Monitor crucial equipment (e.g., transformers, DBs, cooling towers, compressors)
- Maintain housekeeping in maintenance areas
- Be available for shift work and standby duties
