Project Manager (Underground Mining / Site Manager / Mining Services / HSEQS / Drilling and Blasting)

Responsibilities:

• Daily operations management for all activities on site.
• Leading, coaching and mentoring of the team to ensure maximum service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Leading safety initiatives to ensure operational and technical compliance.
• Incident investigations in collaboration with safety personnel.
• Ensuring contractual objectives are met.
• Management and fostering of client relationship.
• Budgeting, cost control and profit and loss management.
• Accurate forecasting to ensure continuity of operations and client satisfaction.
• Resource management and planning of project activities in line with set out objectives.
• Ensuring equipment maintenance and record keeping is carried out.
• Continuous improvement initiatives.
• Timely reporting to required stakeholders.
• Participation in all required operational meetings.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Underground Blasting Certificate preferred.
• 10 years’ experience in underground mining, drilling and blasting, with at least 5 years in a mining contractor site management or project management function.
• Strong HSEQS experience within the mining sector.
• Understanding of mechanical maintenance activities and requirements.
• SAP experience with the ability to analyse financial data and carry out Resource Modelling.
• Well-versed in regulatory / legal requirements and procedures.
• Experience working in remote, challenging areas.
• Zimbabwean and regional (Southern African) nationals encouraged to apply.
