An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Accounts Administrator to lead the accounts payable and receivable functions, oversee cash books, and support bookkeeping operations. Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable function and support the vendor process on the ERP system
- Manage the matching of invoices to purchase orders
- Maintain a list of open purchase orders and following up regularly for closure
- Ensure supplier balances are reconciled
- Maintain accurate age analysis and report findings
- Upload travel invoices onto the ERP system
- Ensure all transactions are processed on the bank accounts
- Prepare bank reconciliation for all bank accounts
- Load payments onto banking systems for release
- Complete necessary foreign payment application forms
- Process cash claims
- Load beneficiaries onto bank accounts
- Oversee the receipt and delivery of credit card statements, upload transactions on ERP system
- Process and ensure that credit card transactions are accurately and timeously recorded
- Maintain an up-to-date list of outstanding claims (credit card recons)
- Manage administration of fuel cards and vehicle management
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Provide support completing trial balances for smaller companies
- Assist with accounts receivable process and compilation of vat returns
- Any other ad hoc finance responsibilities
Requirements:
- Accounting or Finance Btech, B Comm or Diploma or NQF equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4 years relevant working experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising a team in an account’s administrative environment
- Knowledge and experience with foreign currency payments
- Experience in online banking is essential
- Experience with accounting software required
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel
- Basic knowledge and understanding of BBBEE reporting (advantageous)
- Experience in a shared services environment (advantageous)
- Experience in a multi-company or multi-entity (desired)
