Our client is looking for a Dispatch Controller to join their East London branch.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to play a key role in managing warehouse operations. As a Dispatch Controller, you’ll be responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound deliveries, stock handling, and ensuring that warehouse processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock Verification & Dispatch: Ensure picked stock is accurate, scanned, and in good condition before dispatch. Manage inbound stock from CDC, factories, and inter-branch transfers, verifying quantity and quality. Oversee packing, scanning, and secure loading of goods.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with weekly and monthly stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure FIFO compliance to dispatch aging stock first. Perform voltage checks on batteries and handle claims as per company policy.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service to internal teams and customers. Resolve delivery issues promptly and communicate proactively about any delays. Support receiving, battery cleaning, re-labeling, debriefing, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow safety, environmental, and quality standards. Ensure paperwork is accurate and up-to-date. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and report safety concerns immediately. Perform regular equipment checks and manage low-voltage stock effectively.
  • Operational Efficiency: Complete vehicle debriefing within 12 hours of return. Ensure SAP stock records are updated within 12 hours of receipt. Load trucks according to the delivery schedule and maintain high standards in all warehouse processes.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Accuracy in picking, packing, and loading.
  • 100% scanning compliance before dispatch.
  • FIFO compliance and accurate stock recording in SAP.
  • On-time and accurate deliveries.
  • Timely vehicle debriefing and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a warehouse environment with dispatch responsibilities.
  • Skills: Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations. Forklift license, Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability. Reliable, adaptable, and a team player.
