Quality Technician

Quality Technician will be based in the QA Fine Measuring Room Department.

The purpose of the function is to develop, define and plan suitable measures in order to meet customer requirements in respect of quality through prevention of problems and continuous improvement of product and service within an acceptable timeframe, this function is accountable for Quality features & standards within a specific group (Dimensional evaluation of components for Series measurements, 1st off samples, Final Approval, BMG testing, Audit Fault Investigations, Field Complaints, Supplier development, Calibration of gauges, Calibration of Measuring instruments, Calibration of Torque testing instrument, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain measuring systems to ensure quality and pro-active service to customers.
2. Analyze and implement corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and ensure quality standards.
3. Maintain measuring equipment and calibrate instruments to adhere to international and company standards.
4. Train and supervise junior technicians and new employees to develop a strong team of metrology technicians.
5. Prepare and supply measurement data for management decisions and quality evaluation.
6. Conduct dimensional calibration of company fixtures and instruments and maintain their history.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Trade Test Certificate Tool Maker.
2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in the automotive industry, with 2 years of experience in parts alignment, setup, and dimensional evaluation.
3. Essentials:
   • Good knowledge of Metrology Symbols and Elements.
   • Practical experience with Dimensional Measuring Equipment.
   • 3D interpretation of CAD models and technical drawings.
   • Good communication and analytical skills.
   • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions.
   • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD software.
