Overview:

My client in the Retail industry is looking for an Administration/Logistics and Accounts manager to join their team.  Their offices are based in Gardens, Cape Town.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Communication & Account Management:
  • Handle the office phone (WhatsApp and calls), assisting both retail and wholesale customers with order updates and queries.
  • Receive and process (print, pack & dispatch) wholesale orders across all platforms (office phone, email and website)
  • Generate and send invoices for wholesale orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming, outgoing and paid wholesale orders by tracking transactions and packing slips.
  • Guide retail customers through the membership platform, explaining product ranges and granting access where needed.
  • Send out WhatsApp broadcasts to wholesale customers for monthly deals.
  • Manage automatic responses when necessary.
  • Oversee and respond to customer queries via office emails.
  1. Operations:
  • Coordinate daily activities with the warehouse manager to ensure timely packing, checking and dispatching of orders.
  1. Logistics:
  • Schedule and manage deliveries via company driver, Uber and courier services.
  • Liaise with couriers and drivers to ensure timely collection and delivery of orders.
  • Communicate with retail and wholesale customers regarding deliveries and order updates.
  • Assist with Takealot lead-time orders when necessary.
  1. General Administration:
  • Manage the procurement of packaging, boxing and office supplies.
  1. Tastings & Promotions:
  • Organize promoters for events, ensuring correct scheduling and location details.
  • Train any new promoters.
  • Arrange and dispatch the necessary equipment and stock for tasting events.

Requirements and Knowledge:

  • Grade 12
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Above average computer skills, including social media
  • Organised and punctual
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Bookkeeping skills and knowledge
  • Sense of urgency
  • Organisational skills

Salary:

Market related
