Our well-established client that stores and distributes perishable goods, including frozen meats, is seeking a highly professional and ethical HR Business Partner with payroll experience (Sage 300) to provide expert generalist support, implement innovative HR solutions, payroll and align people strategies with organizational goals.
In this role, you will leverage exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills to manage resources effectively, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all People Ops (HR) functions, including recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, performance management, and compliance with labour laws and regulations. Being part of a strong team and culture by empowering, learning, and appreciating each other. Working together to reach and exceed business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Recruitment and Selection.
- Develop and implement People Ops strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees
- Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and procedures
- Coordinate learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
- Driving succession planning in the business
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate People records and prepare reports as needed
- Operational support to line management
- Oversee Payroll and personnel administration
- Growing & Maintaining the Company culture
- Good at drafting a policy
- Preparation of necessary documents for HR Manager
- Administration of personnel leave, maternity leave, disciplinary enquiries and IR
- Coordinate the interviewing, screening, recruitment, and appointment of new staff as well as on a Senior level
- Recruitment feedback
- Deal with both external and internal queries from both staff of the company and external bodies.
- The administrator’s duties also include assisting in the preparation of all letters of contract for any necessary changes in employee terms and conditions.
- Preparing management reports on HR relevant data.
- Organize and maintain personnel records
- Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
- Assist the payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in HR management roles including Payroll (Sage 300) with a proven track record of success
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
