Requirements:
- B-Tech or similar degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or a similar CAD package
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of automotive vehicles and their design
- Strong technical communication skills
- Experience with Syspro, composite components, and steel/sheet metal fabrication is advantageous
- Previous machining experience is also a plus
- Design of mechanical and automotive components
- Design and development of jigs and fixtures
- Creation of engineering drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Development of engineering process sheets and instructions
- Implementation of engineering change requests
- Ongoing product development, improvement, and cost-saving initiatives
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues
- Project management and prototype development
