New vacancy is available for a Supply Chain Analyst position in the New Projects/Supply Chain Department in Procurement, for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Kariega.
 
The role involves managing and optimizing supplier capacity, ensuring transparency, and addressing any potential risks or issues in the supply chain. Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and presenting Supplier Risk and Capacity Overview reports to create transparency and implement solutions.
  • Analyzing and issuing capacity reports to minimize risks.
  • Investigating and addressing Carry Over Parts (COP) requests from the Group to secure capacity.
  • Updating and creating reports on capacity vs demand to ensure adequate supplier capacity.
  • Maintaining a supplier restriction catalogue to account for production scheduling constraints.
  • Managing SAP processes, including creating purchase orders, part supply agreements, and vendor codes.
  • Supporting and maintaining supplier registration databases and ensuring data accuracy in local and group systems.
  • Activating price changes for parts in SAP and solving system issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supporting new systems and process implementations to optimize efficiency and align with best practices.
  • Preparing reports on Procurement FMK performance, budget, and forecasts to meet corporate goals.
  • Performing ad-hoc tasks to balance team workload and department objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualifications: A recognized university degree or national diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Commerce, Finance, or Business Management.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in Purchasing and/or Logistics, ideally in the automotive or related industries.
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of capacity management and planning.
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems and processes.
  • Strong capacity planning and management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage tasks efficiently.
Added Advantage:
  • Experience with SAP
