My client, a leading supplier of custom made machine parts, is looking for a Turner Machinist to join their team in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

 

Key responsibilities

• Work on a Conventional Milling Machine and Lathe and produce accurate parts to close tolerances and specifications
• Work from samples and drawings
• Be able to make drawings for new project as a reference for future orders
•  Must be able to do maintenance work that need quick change over from one job to another
• Be able to do mass production and jobbing work

Skills/Knowledge required

• At least 2 years experience in a similar position
• Must be able to follow instructions
• OWN transport a must
• Customer orientated- Break Downs need urgent attention and priority
• Must be able to work on his own with minimum supervision – productive with discipline
• Healthy person, eager and energetic
• Team player
• Clean track and attendance record
• Co-operation and getting along with fellow employees and management – respectful / disciplined/ proud of his work / clean and neat on himself and his work area

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
