Pump Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of pump systems.
• Inspect, identify faults, and ensure proper operation of all pumps.
• Occasionally perform site work as needed.
• Compile professional reports for clients and suppliers.
• Handle customer service, including managing breakdowns and urgent repairs.
• Manage and control spares inventory and participate in stock takes.
• Assist with counter sales and telesales related to pumps and spares.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and storage areas.
• Monitor and manage consumable and sundry stock levels to prevent repair delays.
• Conduct light maintenance and infrastructure improvements around the premises.
• Coordinate vehicle cleaning and upkeep via the general worker.
• Assist with collections, deliveries, and additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborate closely with management and team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in pump systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of pump maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with electrical systems related to pumps.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to write professional reports.
• Experience with stock control and parts inventory management.
• Ability to manage pressure, deal with challenging customers, and respond to urgent situations.
• Willingness to work after hours and occasional Saturdays as needed.
• Own reliable transport is essential.
• Must be a fast learner, proactive, and dedicated to completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Honest, ethical, and loyal with a strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions.
