DUTIES:
- Manage and execute the social media strategy across all platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media platforms
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence and develop a forward-looking content calendar covering product updates, webinars, internal events, customer success stories, industry trends, and more.
- Create, schedule, and post original content — including copy, graphics, photos, and short videos — aligned with company goals and branding.
- Curate and support written and visual content creation for both marketing and social media channels.
- Support live coverage and promotion of company events (e.g., conferences, internal events, and webinars).
- Write and edit the copy for newsletters, blog posts, event promotions, social campaigns, and landing pages.
- Work with internal teams to source content ideas and ensure technical accuracy.
- Assist with the operation of the online training platform, including uploading new videos, basic video editing, and maintaining a library of up-to-date training resources.
- Use tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, and basic video editing platforms to help create marketing visuals and video snippets.
- Support ongoing marketing initiatives as needed, working closely with the Marketing team across the U.S. and South Africa.
- Ensure brand voice, consistency, and clarity across all channels and content types.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–4 Years of experience in Social Media Marketing, Digital Content Creation, or Marketing Communications.
- Native English speaker with strong proficiency in excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience working with LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, or native platform scheduling).
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar design tools.
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., trimming, subtitles, transitions).
- Prior experience working in the technology, transportation, or infrastructure industries is a bonus
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret direction clearly and produce accurate, creative content.
- Must hold a valid South African passport.
- Must reside in Cape Town or be willing to relocate at your own cost (relocation assistance is not provided).
- Must have reliable transport to and from the office. This is a full in-office role.
- Required to work adjusted hours (e.g., later start and end times) to support real-time collaboration with U.S.-based managers and teams.
