Our client, a leading brand in the fuel industry, is looking for a results-driven and proactive Sales Representative to manage and grow their customer base in the Eastern Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and ensuring top-tier customer service. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong sales experience and a good understanding of the agricultural market.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth
  • Drive regional sales performance by achieving volume and profit targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio while ensuring high retention.
  • Cold call and meet potential clients, present proposals, and close deals.
  • Meet set targets for customer interactions and site acquisitions.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the fuel and agricultural sectors.
  • Provide tailored, timely solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Represent the brand professionally and consistently in the market.
Reporting & Planning
  • Submit regular sales reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain and update client records, sales pipelines, and asset registers.
Operational Support
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Travel extensively throughout the Eastern Cape as required by the role.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Matric certificate (Grade 12) required.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience; fuel industry experience is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the Eastern Cape agricultural landscape is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license is essential.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales background with a solid track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in approaching and engaging decision-makers.
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working independently and under pressure.
