DUTIES:

  • Manage communication between Agile teams and Product Owners of internal and external business units to develop solutions that supports business needs.
  • Help and coordinate the development and documenting of software requirements in collaboration with the Product Owners, Business Analysts, and team.
  • Coordinate business objective delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all team members and sponsors while managing time.
  • Exhibit Lean-Agile leadership.
  • Facilitate the team's progress toward team goals.
  • Monitor and improve the team’s quality, predictability, flow, and velocity performance.
  • Help the team focus on daily and sprint goals in the context of Program Increment (PI) Objectives.
  • Teach problem-solving techniques and help the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.
  • Facilitate all team meetings, including Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Review, and Retrospective.
  • Support the Product Owner in their efforts to create and manage the backlog in the team.
  • Eliminate impediments.
  • Help foster a culture of discipline and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of effective Agile teams.
  • Build a high-performing team – focus on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.
  • Help the team manage conflict.
  • Help coordinate inter-team dependencies through coordination with other teams.
  • Help the team understand how to estimate Stories, Features, and Capabilities.
  • Facilitate team decisions and include correct stakeholders in team decisions.
  • Assist Team Manager with monthly reporting.
  • Monitor Support and BAU within teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Formal Scrum Master training and 5+ years’ experience as Scrum Master.
  • Understanding of Software Development Project Management, particularly for Data Application Development.
  • Computer literate, including competency with Jira, O365, Teams, and SharePoint, Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Experienced working with different frameworks within Agile, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Solid understanding of Lean and Lean principles and the ability to propagate this into the teams and the organisation.
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating events for teams working from home.
  • Technical background (Development/DevOps domain).

Advantageous –

  • Experience in data environment and investment and financial industry.
  • Basic understanding of Software Engineering best practices and basic architecture concepts like service orientated architecture and object-orientated analysis and design.
