Please note that this is a short term contract for 2-3 months, therefore only candidates from Cape Town, available to start immediately, will be considered, specifically those with a SACPCMP registration or candidate status
- You will have completed Matric, as well as be registered or a registered candidate as a Safety Officer with SACPCMP, and have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Health and Safety Officer within the Engineering or oil & gas sector
- You must have previous experience with a strong emphasis on safety and risk management, and thoroughly investigating accidents and incidents.
- You must have knowledge and experience with reporting, Workmen’s Compensation, relevant legislations, and understand the admin revolving those key areas – MS Office experience is also essential.
- You must be able to decide and initiate action and be highly motivated, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be a detailed-orientated and organized team player with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations.
- You must have a driver’s license, a clear criminal and credit record, and reliable transport.
