A new role is available for a Receptionist for our client in the Chemical Industry, based in Durban.

Provide receptionist and administrative support to the Sales and Warehouse teams, including handling calls, processing orders, and assisting with customer service and dispatch functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the switchboard and transfer calls.
  • Forward customer orders to the sales team promptly.
  • Assist with order processing and liaise between sales, customers, and supply chain.
  • Handle customer queries (e.g., providing proof of delivery or trip sheets).
  • Convert picking slips to invoices and assist with final dispatch documentation.
  • Provide regular updates on order status to clients and the sales team.
  • Record and follow up on customer complaints.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • 2–3 years of admin experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syspro is a plus).

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and function both independently and in a team.
