We are seeking an experienced and qualified Tax Administrator for our client in Port Elizabeth.
 
Seeking an experienced Tax Administrator with a solid background in SARS compliance, tax submissions, and client communication. The role supports compliance efforts and enhances service delivery in a professional, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Submission
  • Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and customs returns.
  • Handle SARS tax registrations/deregistrations for clients.
  • Calculate and submit provisional tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate records of tax filings and correspondence.
Client & SARS Correspondence
  • Communicate with SARS and clients regarding tax matters.
  • Prepare documentation for SARS reviews, audits, and disputes.
  • Notify clients of tax liabilities and deadlines with clear guidance.
Dispute Resolution & Compliance
  • Manage basic disputes like Requests for Reasons (RFRs) and return corrections.
  • Assist in resolving tax-related issues for compliance assurance.
Software & Record Management
  • Use systems like Accfin, Greatsoft, Sage to manage tax records.
  • Ensure all documentation is organized and audit-ready.
Additional Duties
  • Stay updated on tax law and SARS regulations.
  • Support clients’ understanding of tax obligations and offer advisory assistance where applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience in tax administration and working with SARS eFiling.
  • Strong understanding of SARS procedures and tax laws.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Office, and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Relevant degree/diploma in Tax, Accounting, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Accfin, Sage, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with VAT, PAYE, and Customs processes.
  • Skilled at managing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Client-focused with high professional standards.
